With a prevention campaign and local initiatives, the EUCPN, 22 European countries, Europol, and the European Commission are joining forces to step up the fight against domestic burglary. The goal: to raise awareness and inform citizens that securing their homes is both possible and effective.
This year’s campaign highlights that burglary prevention doesn’t have to be expensive. Simple measures - such as installing strong door and window locks, using exterior lighting on a sensor, and setting interior lights on a timer - can significantly reduce the risk of a break-in.
