Outputs are usually measured in terms of the volume of work accomplished (number of classes taught, counselling sessions conducted, educational materials distributed, hours of service delivered, participants served), how much and what kind of products or services are generated from the program, and how many people are served by the program or policy (Canadian Outcomes Research Institute, 2003).
