The School of Criminology, International Criminal Law and Psychology of Law SCIP offers courses in the fields of Criminology, International Criminal Law and Psychology of Law that are unique in their interdisciplinary combination. The courses lead to recognized University of Berne Diplomas •1. Master of advanced studies in Criminology (LL.M.) •2. Master of advanced studies in International Criminal Law (LL.M.) •3. Diploma of advanced studies in Criminology respectively International Criminal Law (DAS). The SCIP curricula are deliberately interdisciplinary: about 20 to 30 % of the classes will be mandatory for all students. The long-established cooperation of different sciences within the roof of the Berne Forum of Criminal Sciences (www.bfk.unibe.ch), under participation of neighbouring subject areas and institutions (such as Forensic Psychiatry, Forensic Medicine, Pastoral Care in Prison/Prison Counselling, and Professional Education courses of the Supreme Court of Berne) will continue and even be strengthened and expanded. SCIP tries to draw from all this present knowledge in a synergetic manner and use it for a Swiss-wide unique graduate experience with a world-wide renomée.
