Discover several prevention initiatives at the European crime prevention conference

The #ECPC2020 will take place on 19 and 20 February 2020 in Brussels.
A wide variety of topics will be discussed; during each session our output will be presented and supplemented by academic views, policy recommendations and initiatives.

Overview of the poster sessions

 

Proton

The EU project PROTON is a new approach to process the recruitment to organised crime through an integration of social and computational science. The tool can be used by policy makers to test new evidence-based security measures via computer models.

The cyber defence field of study

The aim of the Estonian initiative is to provide students with a more in depth education in cyber hygiene, ethics, software etc. The cyber defence field of study at Põltsamaa Coeducational gymnasium is the European Crime Prevention Award (ECPA) winner of 2017.

 

Senior Academy

Senior Academy is the European Crime Prevention Award (ECPA) winner of 2016. The aim of this Czech prevention initiative is to ensure the safety of elderly persons and prepare them to be able to provide advice and information to others who share their immediate surroundings.

Confine

Confine was financed by the EU and was a collaboration between Antwerpen, Genk, Riec Zeeland-West Brabant and KU Leuven. The project has developed a methodology for operational cooperation in administrative financial screening to fight trafficking in human beings.
